Preparation
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and milk.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Once boiling, allow it to boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and vanilla extract until smooth.
- If desired, fold in nuts.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch pan.
- Let it cool and set before cutting into squares.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Refrigerate for longer storage. Let come to room temperature before serving.
