Preparation
- Peel (optional) and cut apples into fry-like sticks. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- Set up coating stations: Bowl 1 for flour, Bowl 2 for whisked egg and milk, Bowl 3 for the breadcrumb mixture with sugar and cinnamon.
Coating
- Dredge each apple stick in flour, dip into the egg mixture, and then coat well with the breadcrumb mixture.
Cooking
- Lightly spray coated apple fries with nonstick spray. Place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
- Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Serving
- Serve warm with caramel dip, yogurt, or whipped cream.
Notes
Store leftover apple fries in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer to regain crispiness.
