Ingredients

  • 1 wheel wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1 sheet sheet of puff pastry Thawed if frozen
  • to taste Honey
  • to taste Nuts (e.g., walnuts or pecans)
  • to taste Fresh fruits (e.g., figs or apple slices)
  • 1 Egg Egg (for egg wash) Beaten

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Place the wheel of Brie in the center of the pastry.
  4. Drizzle honey on top of the Brie, and sprinkle nuts and arrange fruits around it.
  5. Fold the pastry over the cheese, sealing it completely.
  6. Brush the outside of the pastry with the beaten egg.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Let cool slightly before serving with additional honey and fruits.

Notes

Make sure to let the Brie sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before baking for a softer texture. Experiment with different nuts and fruits to find your favorite combination. For added flavor, you can include herbs like thyme or rosemary in the filling.
