Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 cup all-natural creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup mashed bananas Use ripe bananas for best sweetness.
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • cup pure maple syrup (or honey) Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • cup chocolate chips Feel free to add more for richer flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except for the chocolate chips. The batter will be thick.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Spread the brownie batter into the lined pan and smooth out the top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the brownies look barely set in the middle. They will be gooey.
