  • 2 cups broccoli florets Can use fresh or thawed frozen broccoli.
Sauce and Marinade
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Use gluten-free version if necessary.
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce Check label for gluten-free options.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch For marinating the beef.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For cooking.
Aromatics
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving
  • Cooked rice For serving. Consider adding sesame seeds or sliced green onions.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the beef with cornstarch, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper; let it marinate for 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger, stir-frying for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, add oyster sauce, and mix well.
  6. Cook for another minute to heat through.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

Slice the beef against the grain for more tenderness. You can add other vegetables, like bell peppers or carrots, for more variety. Adjust the soy sauce and oyster sauce to suit your taste preference.
