  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger grated
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Gochujang optional, for spice
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 Green onions sliced, for garnish
  • 4 cups Cooked rice for serving
  • 1 Carrots shredded, for topping
  • 1/2 Cucumber sliced, for topping

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it apart as it cooks, then drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang (if using), rice vinegar, water, and sesame oil.
  4. Pour the sauce over the cooked beef and simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and coat the beef.
  5. Divide cooked rice among bowls and top with the Korean ground beef. Garnish with sesame seeds, sliced green onions, shredded carrots, and cucumber slices.

Notes

For a healthier option, serve over cauliflower rice or with a side of steamed vegetables. Adjust gochujang to your preferred spice level.
