Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Fresh salmon for best flavor.
  • 2 cups brussel sprouts, halved Don't overcrowd the pan to ensure they brown nicely.
Glaze
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup Adjust sweetness according to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing the brussel sprouts.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. In a large oven-proof skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the brussel sprouts and sauté for about 5 minutes until they start to brown.
  2. Move the brussel sprouts to the sides of the skillet and place the salmon fillets in the center. Pour the maple mixture over the salmon and brussel sprouts.
  3. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

Serve immediately with a side of rice or quinoa, and a lemon wedge for a fresh touch. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 2-3 days.
