Ingredients
  

Pudding ingredients
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup mixed dried fruit
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix until well combined.
  2. Grease a pudding basin or bowl that can fit into your slow cooker.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared basin and cover tightly with foil to prevent water from getting in.
  4. Place the basin in the slow cooker and add water to come halfway up the sides of the basin.
Cooking
  1. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  2. Once done, remove from the slow cooker and let cool slightly.

Notes

Serve warm with custard, cream, or ice cream. You can top it with grated chocolate or a pinch of cinnamon for decoration. For best results, use fresh ingredients, and adjust the types of nuts and dried fruits according to your preference.
