Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, vegetable oil, and melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
