Steak Tips
  • 1.5 lb Beef sirloin cut into 1-inch tips
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
Pasta & Sauce
  • 16 oz Rigatoni pasta
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Steak Preparation
  1. Pat the steak tips dry and toss them with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak tips for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
Pasta & Sauce Preparation
  1. Cook rigatoni pasta according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat, then add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in flour and cook for another minute, then gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream until the sauce thickens.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the cooked rigatoni and seared steak tips to the sauce, tossing to combine thoroughly.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the Cajun seasoning. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
