Method
 

Brownie Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Baking and Finishing
  1. Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  2. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  3. Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before sprinkling with crushed candy canes.
  4. If desired, drizzle melted white chocolate over the brownies before adding candy canes.
  5. Cut into squares and serve.
