Ingredients
  

Dough and Cheese
  • 1 pound pizza dough You can use store-bought pizza dough for convenience.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to experiment with different cheeses.
Garlic Herb Butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted for brushing on dough.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a large triangle shape on a floured surface.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then stir in the garlic, parsley, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush the garlic herb butter over the dough.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over half of the dough.
  6. Fold the other half of the dough over the cheese and press to seal.
  7. Cut the dough into strips and twist each strip to create a tree shape.
  8. Place the twisted strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Brush the tops with remaining garlic herb butter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy your festive appetizer!

Notes

If you have leftovers, store the Cheesy Christmas Tree Bread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, pop it in the oven at a low temperature until warmed through. For a sweet version, replace the cheese and herbs with cinnamon and sugar, shaping the dough into a star.
