  • 1 lb lean ground beef Use lean ground beef to keep the dish healthier.
  • 4 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced Can use frozen cabbage if thawed and drained.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce Use gluten-free soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free version.
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil For cooking.
  • 3 pieces green onions, chopped (for garnish) Add more for garnish if desired.
  • 1 tsp sesame oil Drizzle before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mince garlic and ginger, and slice cabbage into thin strips.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet; cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Stir in garlic and ginger; sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Add sliced cabbage; cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly wilted.
  5. Pour in soy sauce; mix well and let cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry before serving and top with chopped green onions.

Notes

Serve hot, either on its own or over a bed of rice or noodles. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. To reheat, simply warm it in a skillet or microwave until heated through.
