Steps
  1. Heat-treat flour by microwaving it in a microwave-safe bowl for 60-90 seconds until it reaches 160°F (71°C) or baking it at 300°F (150°C) for 5-7 minutes; let it cool.
  2. In a small bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the heat-treated flour and salt, mixing until just combined and a dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips. Enjoy your edible cookie dough immediately or store it in an airtight container.
