Ingredients

For the chocolate-covered strawberries
  • 8 large large strawberries Make sure they are completely dry before dipping.
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate drops Use high-quality chocolate for better flavor.
  • 2 drops green food coloring Optional - Adjust the amount for desired shade.
  • 1 tablespoon green chocolate shards Can substitute with colored sprinkles.
  • 1-2 slices dark chocolate For decoration.

Method

Preparation
  1. Rinse the strawberries in a colander and pat them dry very well. Chill them in the fridge for about an hour before dipping.
Melting Chocolate
  1. Using a double boiler or the microwave in short bursts, melt the white chocolate until smooth.
Dipping
  1. Stick a skewer into each strawberry and dip them into the melted chocolate. Let any excess chocolate drip off, then stand them upright in a glass or bowl filled with rice or cereal to set.
  2. Before the chocolate sets completely, sprinkle some of the strawberries with green chocolate shards.
  3. Tint the remaining white chocolate with green food coloring and drizzle over the strawberries in a zig-zag pattern.
  4. Repeat the drizzling with melted dark chocolate for extra contrast.
  5. Place them in the fridge for about 20 minutes until the chocolate is fully set.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Best enjoyed within a couple of days. Avoid freezing to maintain texture.
