Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Mixture
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups quick oats Or old-fashioned oats for a chewier texture
  • ¼ teaspoon salt Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
Cooking
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in sugar, milk, and cocoa powder.
  2. Bring to a boil and let it cook for exactly 1 minute.
Mixing
  1. Remove from heat and quickly stir in peanut butter, vanilla extract, and oats. Mix until combined.
Forming Cookies
  1. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Allow cookies to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes or until firm.

Notes

Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to two weeks. You can freeze them in an airtight container for about three months.
