  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the flour and salt until combined.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Make an indentation in the center of each cookie using your thumb.
  7. Fill each indentation with your choice of ganache, jam, or caramel.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

These cookies are best served fresh and can be enjoyed on their own or with a cup of tea or coffee. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
