  • to taste pomegranate seeds For decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Allow to sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Gradually add 4 cups of flour, salt, and olive oil; mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Punch down the dough and spread it in a greased baking sheet.
  3. Use your fingers to create dimples in the dough.
  4. Decorate with fresh herbs and pomegranate seeds to create a holly design.
  5. Optionally, sprinkle sea salt on top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Slice the bread into squares or strips for serving. Pairs well with olive oil or balsamic vinegar for dipping. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
