Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar For dough
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Frying and Coating Ingredients
  • 2-3 cups oil for frying Adjust based on frying pan size
  • 1/2 cup sugar For coating
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For coating
  • to taste Nutella For dipping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and sugar. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add flour and salt, stirring until a dough forms.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Cooking
  1. Preheat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Pipe or spoon small bites of dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. Remove churro bites from oil and coat in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with Nutella for dipping.

Notes

Store leftover churro bites in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. Reheat in the oven for best results. For extra flavor, consider adding nutmeg or adjusting the sugar and cinnamon to taste.
