  • 2 medium Apples peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 small Onion finely chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Raisins
Spices
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Flakes
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, sauté the chopped onion until softened. Add grated ginger and minced garlic, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  2. Stir in the diced apples, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, raisins, red chili flakes, mustard seeds, and salt. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and the chutney has thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool completely before transferring to an airtight jar.

Notes

Adjust spices to your preference. Chutney can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
