Dough
  • 1 cup Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Applesauce
  • 1/2 cup White School Glue optional
  • 1/4 cup Flour for dusting work surface

Method
 

Making Ornaments
  1. Combine cinnamon, applesauce, and optional glue in a large bowl, mixing until a stiff dough forms.
  2. Lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth.
  3. Roll the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness, then use cookie cutters to create desired shapes.
  4. Carefully transfer the cutouts to a parchment-lined baking sheet and use a straw or skewer to make a hole in each for hanging.
  5. Bake at 200°F (95°C) for 2 to 2.5 hours, or until thoroughly dry and hard.
  6. Allow the ornaments to cool completely, then thread with ribbon or twine for hanging.

Notes

Ensure ornaments are completely dry before storing to prevent mold. You can add glitter or paint once cooled for extra sparkle. These are for decoration only and not edible.
