Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  3. Add the sliced beef, cooking until browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the beef and mushrooms, stirring to coat everything evenly.
  6. Gradually add the beef broth, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  7. Lower the heat and mix in the sour cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles.

Notes

To store leftovers, let it cool completely, place in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze and thaw in the refrigerator before reheating. You can add other vegetables like peas or bell peppers for extra flavor.
