Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, almond flour, and sugar.
  3. Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and shape it into a rectangle.
  6. Fold the pastry into thirds, then roll it out again.
  7. Repeat folding and rolling 2-3 times to create layers.
Baking
  1. Cut into desired shapes and place on a baking sheet.
  2. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
  3. Let cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. This pastry can be varied with different fillings like fruit preserves or cream cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container for best results.
