Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Make sure the butter is completely melted.
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can be substituted with gluten-free flour.
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules Increase amount for more coffee flavor.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional) Can be replaced with white chocolate chips.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and instant coffee.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  2. Let it cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
