Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup bread flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast 2 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries chopped
  • 1 piece orange zest zest of 1 orange

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, bread flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the orange juice, milk, melted butter, and egg.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes.
  5. Incorporate the chopped cranberries and orange zest into the dough.
Rising
  1. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  2. Shape the rolls, place them on a baking sheet, and let them rise for 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until they are golden.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm with butter or honey. Store leftovers in an airtight container or freeze them wrapped tightly.
