Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cranberries and orange zest.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream and egg.
- Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and mix until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat it into a 1-inch thick circle. Cut into wedges and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Baking
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
