Cookies
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then set this dry mixture aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together using an electric mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice until just combined.
- Gradually add the reserved dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until a soft dough forms.

Orange Glaze
- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, orange juice, and optional orange zest until the glaze is smooth and pourable.

- Allow the glaze to set completely before serving the cookies or storing them.
Notes
Ensure cookies are completely cool before glazing to prevent the glaze from melting. For an intensified orange flavor, use fresh orange zest and juice.
