  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Use boneless or bone-in and skin-on for extra flavor.
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Choose your favorite BBQ sauce or experiment with variations.
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, chopped onion, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  2. Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the sauce before serving.

Notes

Leftover BBQ chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container for about 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.
