  • 6-8 pieces flaky croissants, cut into pieces Use day-old croissants for the best texture.
  • 4 units eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk For a richer taste, substitute some with heavy cream.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Fresh berries for serving Can also add sliced bananas or blueberries.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  3. Layer the croissant pieces in a greased casserole dish.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the croissants, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight if desired.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar and topped with fresh berries.
  2. Optionally, add a drizzle of maple syrup or a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave individual portions.
