Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 2 cups rolled oats Choose gluten-free oats if desired.
  • 1 cup nuts (almonds, walnuts, etc.) Feel free to mix different types of nuts.
  • 1 cup seeds (pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, etc.) Toast for extra flavor if desired.
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, etc.) Add after baking.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Experiment with other spices if desired.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, nuts, seeds, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey (or maple syrup) and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and let it cool.
  3. Once cooled, mix in the dried fruit and store in an airtight container.

Notes

Store granola in an airtight container; it lasts for about 2 weeks at room temperature or longer in the fridge. Experiment with various ingredients for unique flavors.
