  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add ground pork and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Add the broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add shredded cabbage, carrots, and soy sauce.
  6. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Feel free to swap ground pork for ground chicken or turkey. For a vegetarian version, replace pork with tofu and use vegetable broth. Add mushrooms for extra flavor.
