Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together over medium heat, stirring until it comes to a boil. Allow it to boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
- Pour the hot mixture over the crackers, spreading it evenly.
Baking and Topping
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Let it sit a few minutes until the chocolate melts, then spread it evenly.
- Add M&Ms or other candies on top and allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
To keep it crunchy, store in an airtight container. You can store at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage. Separate pieces with parchment paper if freezing.
