  • 1 pound Cremini mushrooms You can use other types of mushrooms as variations.
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic vinegar Can substitute with red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar.
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce Use low-sodium soy sauce if preferred.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 tablespoon Maple syrup Adds sweetness to balance the acidity.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Optional, for drizzling.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning.
  • to taste Pepper For seasoning.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and maple syrup.
  3. Toss the cremini mushrooms in the mixture until well coated.
  4. Spread the mushrooms on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil if desired.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking
  1. Roast in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until tender and caramelized.
Serving
  1. Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

Make sure to coat the mushrooms well in the marinade for the best flavor. For a richer taste, sauté the garlic in olive oil for a minute before adding the other ingredients. Can use different herbs for extra flavor.
