Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; set aside.
Mixing
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork, then add granulated sugar and brown sugar, mixing well.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk until combined.
Combining and Baking
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined and being careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or chocolate chips to the batter before baking. Ensure your bananas are very ripe for the best flavor and moisture.
