Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained whole kernel corn, cream-style corn, sour cream, melted butter, and corn muffin mix; stir until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden and bubbly, sprinkling with cheese during the last 10 minutes if desired.
  5. Allow to stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of sugar or a dash of hot sauce to the mixture before baking. You can also mix in chopped jalapeños for a spicy kick or crispy bacon bits for a smoky flavor.
