Steps
- In a small saucepan, pour half of the fruit juice and sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over it; let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Do not boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in the remaining fruit juice and optional sweetener; mix well.
- Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds.
- Refrigerate for at least 60 minutes, or until the gummies are firm.
- Remove the gummies from the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
For a tarter gummy, add a squeeze of lemon juice. You can also experiment with different fruit juices and natural food colorings.
