Ingredients
  

For the garlic butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure the butter is softened for easy spreading.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped You can substitute with dried parsley if needed.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional) Add for extra flavor.
For the bread
  • 1 loaf Italian bread

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until well combined.
  3. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture generously on each half.
  4. If using, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture. You can also use whole grain or sourdough bread for added texture. To store leftovers, let garlic bread cool completely, wrap it tightly, and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
