  • 1 3/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cloves
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup Pumpkin puree not pumpkin pie filling
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
  • 2 Eggs large
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves until well combined.
Mixing and Baking
  1. In a separate bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract, then mix wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  2. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Let the pumpkin bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle some pumpkin seeds or a cinnamon-sugar mixture on top before baking.
