Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the sprinkles.
- Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
Baking
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
Frosting and Serving
- Once cooled, spread the vanilla buttercream frosting over the top and sprinkle with extra sprinkles.
- Cut into bars and serve!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Refrigerate for up to a week; let them come to room temperature before serving.
