Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Let the bars cool completely.
Frosting
- For the frosting, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Spread over cooled bars and add sprinkles if desired.
- Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
These bars are best served at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to four days. Refrigerate for up to a week.
