Garlic Knots

Garlic knots are a fantastic snack or appetizer with a crispy outside and a soft, chewy inside, perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own.

Ingredients
  

Dough and Seasoning
  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade) Use your preferred pizza dough.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Melted for brushing.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped For garnish and flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional) Sprinkle on top if desired.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle and cut it into 12 strips.
  3. Tie each strip into a knot and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Cooking
  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until it becomes fragrant.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Brush half of the garlic butter mixture over the knots.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  5. Remove the garlic knots from the oven and immediately brush with the remaining garlic butter.
  6. If you like, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve warm.

Notes

Garlic knots are best served warm, right out of the oven. They make a great addition to pasta dishes, salads, or soups. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
