Glaze
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Method
 

Cookies
  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour and salt, then fold in chopped candied fruit and orange zest.
  2. Form the dough into a disk, wrap it, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness, cut into shapes, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden. Cool completely.
Glaze
  1. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Drizzle or spread the glaze over the cooled cookies and let it set.

Notes
