Fudgy Brownies
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips
Halloween Frosting & Decorations
  • 3 cups Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 2-3 tbsp Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • Green and orange food coloring few drops each
  • Halloween sprinkles as needed
  • Candy eyeballs as needed

Method
 

Making the Brownies
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter, then whisk in sugar and eggs, followed by vanilla extract until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder, then gradually add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips, then pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Let brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before frosting.
Decorating
  1. Beat softened butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make frosting.
  2. Divide frosting into bowls and color with green and orange food coloring.
  3. Frost cooled brownies with the colored frosting, then decorate with sprinkles and candy eyeballs.
  4. Cut into squares and serve your spooky Halloween brownies.

Notes

For extra spooky fun, use cookie cutters to create ghost or pumpkin shapes from white and orange frosting sheets. Allow brownies to cool completely before frosting to prevent melting.
