Preparation
- Brown ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet; drain any excess fat.
- In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Layer sliced potatoes in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Spread the ground beef mixture over the potatoes.
- Pour the soup mixture evenly over the beef and potatoes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35-40 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and the casserole is bubbly.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese on top during the last 10 minutes of baking.
