Brushing
  • as needed Olive oil For brushing on the pizza roses

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll the pizza dough on a floured surface until it’s about 1/4-inch thick.
  3. Cut the dough into strips that are 2 inches wide and 8–10 inches long.
  4. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on each strip, leaving some clear space at the edges.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the strips.
  6. Lay the pepperoni slices along one edge, making sure half of each slice hangs over the dough.
  7. Roll each strip tightly to create a rose shape. Pinch the bottoms to secure them.
Baking
  1. Place the pizza roses on the baking sheet. Brush them with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and the pepperoni looks crispy.

Notes

Leftover pizza roses can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. To reheat, place them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes or until warmed through.
