Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine crushed Oreos and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of a greased pan to form the crust.
- In another bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Fold in cool whip, lemon juice, and lemon zest until everything is well combined.
- Spread the lemon mixture evenly over the Oreo crust.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
Serving
- Cut into squares or slices and serve on dessert plates, optionally topped with whipped cream or lemon zest.
Notes
The dessert is best served chilled. To store leftovers, cover with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate. It will stay fresh for up to 3 days. Freezing is an option, but it's best enjoyed fresh.
