Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Add the protein powder, cocoa powder, almond flour, honey or maple syrup, eggs, melted coconut oil, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- If using, fold in the dark chocolate chips.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and enjoy your High Protein Chocolate Banana Bread!
Notes
This bread tastes great on its own but can be served with butter, honey, or fresh fruit. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
