Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
- Gradually add the warm water while stirring with a spoon.
- Once the dough starts to come together, knead it for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Cover the rolls again and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush the melted butter over the top of the rolls.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Homemade dinner rolls are best served warm. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
