Making the Gummies
- Pour the fruit juice into a small saucepan and sprinkle the unflavored gelatin powder over it; let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- Heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin completely dissolves and the mixture is smooth; do not boil.
- Stir in your preferred sweetener and citric acid, if using, until fully combined and dissolved.
- Carefully transfer the warm liquid into gummy bear molds using a dropper or small spoon.
- Refrigerate the molds for at least 30-40 minutes, or until the gummies are fully set and firm.
- Once set, gently remove the gummy bears from the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
For best results, use 100% fruit juice without added sugar. The gummies can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Experiment with different juice flavors and mold shapes!
