  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk Make sure it's warm, not hot.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup honey
Topping Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for brushing)
  • 1/4 cup honey (for glaze)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, honey, and eggs.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth; cover and let rise for 1 hour.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Punch down the dough and shape it into small balls. Place them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Brush with melted butter and honey, then bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an extra treat, serve them with a bit of additional honey or butter on the side. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for up to a week.
